Hard Times

I am saddened today for a friend of mine. Pray for him.

I live in a home blessed with loving parents. My father is worthy to use his priesthood power. I feel loved here. It is a priceless feeling.

My face hates me

I am an allergetic. Currently, it is the worst part of the year for me allergy-wise. So, last night I could not sleep because all my oraphaces were clogged up with some sort of snot or flem or whatever the heck my eyeballs were secreting. So, because I am so tired I really could not come up with something clever or intelligent to say, so instead I wrote the story about my awful night. Enjoy!

I am done with everything related to high school, which I guess is because I was born approximately 18 years prior to this date, so I guess what Im saying is that I am blessed because of the time period in which I live.

A New Thing and Also a New Consideration

First of all, a new consideration: Up to this point, exactly 0 (zero) people have read my blog, and thus none of the world has become enlightened yet with the beauty of my genious. I have continued to write my blog as if I have tons of readers and fans, which I am sure will soon have, and surely you future fans reading this post will be shocked to learn that at one point in time nobody had read it, but unfortunately, it is true. But, in order to get the ball rolling, if you will, I am considering letting the location of my blog become known to The Constant One (he is a friend of mine). Now, part of the origional intent of Thoughts was to let it be found by people who were willing to look for and find the truth and light of my intelligence. Letting the location of the blog become known to a select group of people would betray that goal. But, it would enlighten the world quicker. So, for those of you readers who either find this by yourselves or who are told to go here by An Enlightened One (one of my readers), vote here by posting a comment. The words "Dill Pickle" will mean that you thought that I should have waited to let the world find the truth. The words "Cheese and Crackers" will mean that you are thankful that I spread the good word. And now, on to a new thing. I was recently challenged to write down a list of blessings that I have been given, and so, I have decided to, at the bottom of each of my posts, write down a blessing. So, here goes:

The One Cool Thing

Ok so the other day, I was home in the middle of the day. My little brother was watching Mr. Rodgers. Now, as we all know, everything about Mr. Rodgers is either terrifying (from his smile to his hand puppets) or lame (from his hand puppets to his hair). But there is One Cool Thing in his house that I didnt really realize until yesterday. He has a traffic light. It is constantly flashing yellow, and it is one of those old school ones. How tight is that? First of all, I dont think that a flashing yellow sign really even means anything. Second of all, the old school is just tight. Third, who has a traffic light in their house? Seriously, that is so cool, I would have one in my house if I could. I would even venture to say that The Epitome of Cool I and The Epitome of Cool II would have one in their houses if they could. Now, because I am bored and have time and have gotten on the subject, I will explain to you what the epitomes of cool are. Coolness is is something that we all desire because it makes everyone else desire us, and one of the few basic human needs/wants is to feel loved. Most of us can tap into different levels of coolness at at least some points in our life. It should be quite obvious to everyone that there are different levels of coolness, and that not everyone is capable of obtaining every level. But where does this coolness come from? "There must be some eminating point somewhere at the epicenter of the universe," was my origional conjecture. But upon further research, I have discovered that coolness is so amazing that it cannot be found in one simple source. There are four poles to the epitome of cool. The first pole is called The Epitome of Cool I. When I take over the world, his face will be on every plate in the land. When he holds and apple juice with his arms akimbo and his tie askew, there is no denying the radiant glory of the "cool" that eminates from his very core. The second pole is called The Epitmoe of Cool II. He is a master mechanic and fixxxxxxxxxxxer of things. He will one day cure cancer and save the whales in the same day. His observations on life will one day become part of the cannonical scripture of the cult of The Correct One. Learn these simple truths now, and you will be more prepared for the revolution: "Whoever in vented Risk was a genious, comparable to Einstein." "Pull the bloody mooring line!" and who can forget "That is all." Anyway, the third pole is the song Kryptonite, by 3 Doors Down. Just look at the comments down below. Nobody has anything bad to say about it because it is so freaking awesome. And the final pole of the epitome of cool is TJ Detwiler (above). Just look at how cool he is! Seriously, if you have never seen the show Recess, then you would never understand. But TJ is nice to everybody (definetly a must in the book of How to Be Cool) has fun, does stuff with his life, and is one of the best leaders ever seen on this planet. How much cooler than that can you get? Together, these four poles form the epitmoe of cool. If they were ever all together at the same time, the world would implode.

Note 1-I have not yet found the source of anti-coolness. I must be close to it, though, becuase I have made regualar contact with all of the four poles, although never at the same time because that would cause catacalismic doom for the whole earth. And yet I remain relatively uncool. Hmmm

Note 2-Once, Arms Akimbo (my band) attempted to perform Kryptonite with The Epitmoe of Cool I on drums and the Epitmoe of Cool II on bass. We wouldnt dare attempt this while watching Recess for fear of the events outlined above, but it was still dang cool.

Why the Jazz will beat the Lakers

Rebounding. We outrebounded them by 17 last game. Usually the team that does that wins. But the problem is that we had 13 turnovers, 7 of which were by Carlos Boozer. Also, we only shot 36%. But we took almost 100 shots. So, in the next few days, Sloan will calm us down. The shots will fall. The turnovers will fall. Kobe will still get 35 points and 6 or 7 assists, and Boozer might not even get 20. But we will win as long as we stay strong on the glass. It will go to seven games, and it will be tough, but I believe.
